Writing a book was not something that Pattie had ever considered. Pattie grew up singing in the church and that has always been her first love. Then about five years ago, Pattie had the opportunity to start speaking at ladies' event. She realized how much she enjoyed that also. She enjoys sharing the wonderful ways that God has helped her and she wants to encourage others.
In 2005, Pattie felt something inside of her say, write a book. She said a little prayer and asked God if this was something she really should do. It was as if God replied, "Do you really want to get to the end of your life and wonder what would have happened if you would have written a book?" So, she started typing and praying.
She submitted the draft to Tate Publishing Christmas of 2006. In March of 2007, she received a call from Tate saying they wanted to publish her book. Her book was released January of 2008.
Pattie is still singing and speaking, two gifts that she truly enjoys sharing with others.

Encouragement for the trials of everyday life.,
This is the most heart touching book I have
ever read. Pattie's real life experiences with her own family was what I
needed at this point in my life. My mom, has an artificial heart valve and
is on coumadin. And is now in the hospital, bleeding internally and the
Dr.'s are doing all they can to find the source, with no luck so far. As of
today she has received 10 pints of blood. I am at wits end. I totally
believe in the power of prayer and everyone we know that can pray is
praying. After Reading 'He can be trusted' I now have an overwhelming
renewal in my faith, and the power of God and exactly what he can do in our
lives if we allow Him to work. This book is so inspirational and easy to get
into, I was sad to see it end. Hopefully there will be more to come. Nothing
better for the soul, this book has it, laughter, tears and guidance for
myself where I needed help, in a time a time of need, in my own spiritual
walk with Christ. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. |

I have not finished this book yet, but I am enjoying it very much. I feel like the author is sitting in my living room telling me her story. This is a journey of overcoming life's hurdles and coming out on the other side to find the joy and happiness. This book doesn't take long to read and I am sure that I will go back to it regularly
